Augmented reality (AR) is a real-world environment whose elements are supplemented or augmented by computer-generated sensory input such as photos, music or GPS data. It is some kind of mediated reality, in which a view of reality is modified by a computer.
Augmentation is conventionally in real-time, for example the scores on TV during a match.
With AR technology the information about the surrounding real world becomes interactive and digitally manipulable.
